too experienced to act rashly;
Mary Morstan: It can seem a little far-fetched, though, sometimes, making these grand assumptions out of such tiny details.
Sherlock Holmes: That's not quite right, is it? In fact, the little details are by far the most important. Take Watson.
Mary: I intend to.
Mary Morstan is a governess in late 19th-century London. Educated and well-traveled, she has social grace to spare — until you insult her deceased fiancé. (That just may earn a glass of wine to the face, as a certain iconoclastic contract detective finds out.)
Note: When Mary enters Milliways for the first time, she has yet to meet either Dr. John Watson or Sherlock Holmes.
Mary Morstan (played by Kelly Reilly) is from the 2009 film Sherlock Holmes, and is the property of — well, a lot of folks, including, but not limited to, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Warner Bros. Pictures. I'm only borrowing her, with no intended copyright infringement; she appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in panfandomsandbox, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.
